Early Medieval Cemeteries – Porth Clew 2008

Cist graves, probably of early medieval date, were revealed in 2000 close to a ruined medieval chapel. The extent of the cist-grave cemetery, its relationship to the chapel and the potential of other archaeological remains around the chapel is unknown. This project, in conjunction with the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, is addressing these issues through survey and an excavation involving members of the local community.
